The Take Charge Power Saver captured Best
in Class for the New Product World Award and received
Honorable Mention – Best in Class – Housewares from Home Business World at the
2012 National Hardware Show in Las Vegas, NV
Why leave that charger plugged in the wall wasting
electricity well after it’s through charging those batteries? Since most modern
chargers finish the job shortly, the UTC4W is timed to automatically shut down
after three hours. Three timed receptacles are provided as well as a
conventional “always on” receptacle for extension convenience. A total 10 amp
capacity.
One indicator lamp reveals an ungrounded third
wire as a safety feature which would otherwise invalidate the surge protection.
A second lamp indicates that the power is on.
A convenient pushbutton starts the three-hour
activation cycle. A circuit breaker reset button is also present.
The UTC4W is a wall-plug-mount unit that
attaches directly to a conventional duplex wall outlet. Its safeguard
performance is warranted by the factory with this statement:
“Will replace any connected equipment, up to
$50,000, damaged by power disturbances, while connected to a functioning Take
Charge PowerSaver.”
