Three timed receptacles are provided as well as a conventional “always on” receptacle for extension convenience. A total 10 amp capacity. One indicator lamp reveals an ungrounded third wire as a safety feature which would otherwise invalidate the surge protection. A second lamp indicates that the power is on. A convenient pushbutton starts the three-hour activation cycle. A circuit breaker reset button is also present. The UTC4W is a wall-plug-mount unit that attaches directly to a conventional duplex wall outlet.
