This Version now includes several new features.
What started out as an "customer feedback idea" has become a great feature in
Ver 1.6.0. You can now monitor most of the Police Scanner "streaming audio"
links from all 50 States. And, In addition, there is support for worldwide AIR
TRAFFIC CONTROL (ATC) streaming audio. Most of us don't use software as
frequently once we've accomplished the programming of our "new rig", or when
systems are changing frequencies.... so this feature should make your "off time"
a lot more enjoyable. Not to mention adding to the value of your purchase.
Everything is handled from a simple, panel operated, "list picker". No hunting
through maps or tons of web pages. It's all composed on one easy interface. Just
a few clicks, and you're listening to real time Scanner audio from all over the
world.
There's a Favorites List, so whenever you start up this feature, all the links
you like to listen to are right on tap.
We have added support for the Custom Band Planning for many of the Uniden
Radios. The Firmware for your Uniden scanner must be updated to accept this new
programming. This is a selectable feature per system and all the programming is
handled automatically. All you have to do is pick "Custom" and the software
takes care of all the individual settings for you.
Not all older models can support the Custom Bandplan feature. So, as of now, the
scanners supported for the New Custom Plans are the BCT15, BCD396T, BCD996t, and
all of the new scanners with "XT" in the model number (Such as BCD396XT).
Firmware updates must be made to older scanners if you want to use the "Custom
Bandplan" features.
In recent months, we have added over several new radios from Radio Shack, Uniden,
GRE and MFJ and also include support for the very popular AOR "Cult Classics",
the AR8200 and AR8000.
Support is updated for the new firmware upgrades of the Home Patrol. The
HomePatrol is probably as close to a "Has everything already programmed" as
anyone has come up with.
Scancat can program the Home Patrol with any frequency you wish, no matter what
or where. Frequencies like FRS, GMRS, MARINE BAND, CB, NASCAR, CORDLESS PHONES,
NASCAR, MOST HAM etc, which can't be programmed with Uniden software - is a
piece of cake with SCL.
If you have other scanners, it's as simple as transferring the memory contents
of your other radio into our RSD files and reprogram them back into ANY other
scanner that supports those frequencies.

VISTA & WINDOWS 7 COMPATIBLE !
In the tradition of other Scancat products, all radio
supported are available in one software product. This means if you have any of
the radios supported by Scancat-Lite PLUS, you only need to buy the one
software program. If you have more than one radio that is supported, you can
use the same databases from any of the radios (to the limits of their
frequency coverage and features of course). Just pick the radio from the radio
selection list and "plug it in". The program supports both programming the
radio's memories and (if supported by the radio) downloading from the radio
the frequency information already programmed. So you can download from one
radio and send the same frequency information to a second or third radio. Try
That with software that only supports a single radio.

If you do not have the frequencies for your area, the
program supports the files created on the Mr. Scanner CD or downloads from the
National Communications web site. Contact National Communications for both the
Mr. Scanner Public Safety CD and Mr. Scanner CD ROM. You can also cut and
paste from Excel. Either way there is little typing involved and in a matter
of a few minutes your radio will be up and running - programmed with all your
local frequencies. Remember all radios can use the same database (to the
limits of their frequency coverage and features).
