Global Positioning Systems rely on the reception of radio
signals which are transmitted
from GPS
satellites in orbit at around 20,000km. Due to very small signal levels
available (typical -130dBm), the often mission critical operation of GPS
equipment can be severely disrupted, when they are being targeted with noise
signals at specific frequencies.
The HADRIAN RJ-G1575 GPS Jammer will inhibit the
reception of the most commonly used GPS signal types in a user adjustable area.
The purpose of jamming these signals is, for example, to avoid the use of GPS
assisted terrorist attacks. Permanent installations of the HADRIAN RJ-G1575
could include embassies and other sensitive buildings such as national assets.
Temporary applications could include larger the shielding of motorcades and
convoys, large public events and the temporary deployment of troops or
equipment. The unique design and simplified user interface makes rapid
deployment possible.
A special feature incorporates a pseudo-random frequency
shift function, which can be utilized to investigate the effectiveness of
anti-jamming equipment and digital signal processing algorithms. The continuously variable RF output power provides the
means to adjust the jamming range to suit individual requirements and
