Measuring only 4-1/4”W x 1-1/2”H x 7-1/4”D,
and weighing a mere 13 ounces, the software-defined Perseus is high-performance,
0.39 uV sensitivity, 10 kHz-30 MHz, all-mode communications receiver with +31
dBm IP3, 100+ dB dynamic range, and 90 dB image rejection for overload immunity.
It features a lab-grade spectrum analyzer
function with a span of up to 1600 kHz, and a resolution bandwidth adjustable from
0.4-800 kHz. Optional frequency extenders for VHF and UHF are being released as
well.
Other spectrum-displaying receivers show
signals pop up on your spectrum display, then disappear before you can tune them
in. But like the powerful surveillance receivers used by government and military
intelligence agencies, the Perseus can actually perform pre-detection recording,
saving to your hard drive all the signals in a swath of spectrum in real time
for you to tune, monitor and analyze later with the Perseus advanced software!
Ideal for broadcast and utility DXing, SETI
research, contesting, propagation studies, SIGINT and serious signals
surveillance as well.
Its 14 bit 80 MS/s A/D converter,
high-performance FPGA-based down-converter, and high-speed 480 Mb/s USB2.0 PC
interface operate under Windows 2000, XP, or Vista. Audio is via the PC
soundcard or on-board audio. A universal 120/240 VAC 50/60 wall adaptor is
included. The antenna connector is a BNC.
