MOLDOVA [non]
I understand that Radio Moldova was recently listenable;
if so, it was an episode. I now find on 7520 again just the same hum
(+ program modulation very, very deep underneath),
which blared out from one of my grandfathers' old radios,
since its tubes were getting power-grid AC through a faulty condenser...
I cannot realize why the Moldovians accept this situation,
also considering that they certainly
get the transmitter for a solidarity price; even as a gift it is too expensive.
(Kai Ludwig, Germany)
Later: I just checked out Radio Moldova International from 1100 on 11580.
The power-grid hum problem was fixed, so the program modulation
is no longer buried but it is still unpleasant listening due
to strong non-linear distortion, seemingly already on the feeder line.
Also the transmitter still has other diseases, showing in a background
hiss and repeated trips
(Kai Ludwig, Germnay, BC-DX)

NAMIBIA NBC, Windhoek, on new 7165.12 *0600-0645, English news; quite good until started

NORWAY On some of my receivers, NRK 18950 at 1323 check had annoying co-channel from

receiver-produced, but nonetheless a good reason not to use 18950 I'll bet Olav never thought of (gh)
