This new,
paid update
is applicable to all models of the HomePatrol scanner, including the first
production units. There are three updates in one download:
1.
Sentinel software
now includes:
Full manual programming to create new systems, edit existing systems, and
edit your favorites list.
New channel options like time-selectable per-channel delay, audio alert for
specific channel activity, adding channels to existing trunked systems, and
perform user-selectable geographical searches.
Export Google-map points of interest (KML files) and share them as well as
create multiple favorites lists to expand coverage areas.
Create and edit your own files
Automatically record audio in the trunk discovery mode for newly-found talk
group IDs
Record audio and DCS/CTCSS subtones on newly-found channels between two
manually-entered frequencies to help identify unknowns.
2. A
trunk system analyzer
shows on-screen control information flow (channelgrams, radio on/off
affiliations, logging information).
A channel-activity analyzer and an EDACS LTR LCN analyzer are included.
3. A
color bandscope
shows active channels graphically like a spectrum display.
An RF power plot allows you to watch signal strength go up and down on any
active channel to show propagation shifts as well as offer radio direction
finding capability with a directional antenna and antenna experiments for best
reception.
