The
24-foot Model HF Flex-Tenna™ is a thin
and inconspicuous, flexible-wire antenna designed to provide continuous 10 kHz-50 MHz reception on
shortwave receivers. Since it's a narrow length of
clear-insulated cable, it is an excellent choice for low-visibility
installations.
Only
1/4" wide and clear-vinyl insulated for low visibility, the Flex-Tenna™ is
conveniently rolled up for easy transport and is an ideal monitoring antenna
for camping, motels, emergency deployment, and fixed installations. Its
vinyl-protected wire elements allow the Flex-Tenna™ to be casually hung from a
tree branch or under the roofline outdoors, across ceiling molding, upper
window casing, doorway, or attic roof truss indoors. For HF
reception, hang vertically. No ground or radials are
required. An female F connector is provided for convenient attachment to low-loss
coaxial cable like the Grove CBL-50 and CBL-100.
"This is just a note
to let you know how well the "Flex-Tenna" worked for me. This simple antenna
works GREAT!! I dependably monitor broadcast stations, utilities, and
various other interesting services. T hank you for doing all the legwork
and experimenting to make this antenna so practical." John
