(last update 99/06/03)
As
tensions in the Central Europe continue to mount and the NATO bombing campaign
in Serbia/Kosovo continues the staff of Monitoring Times magazine
has put together a list of active shortwave frequencies associated with
the conflict. This will help listeners equipped with HF radios and VHF/UHF
scanners keep tabs on the action.
On our broadcast list we have included all known English language broadcasts on shortwave from Serbia/Yugoslavia and the surrounding countries. We have added HF utility and VHF/UHF military communications frequencies that have been positively identified as being associated with Kosovo operations.
We want to extend a special thanks to Gayle Van Horn, the entire MT SWBC monitoring team, and the dozens of other active monitors from around the world for their help in developing the comprehensive frequency information presented here. As always if you have something you would like to contribute, please contact us at the email addresses at the end of this piece.
If you need schedules for all other shortwave stations worldwide carrying English language broadcasts those can be found in the latest edition of Monitoring Times magazine available on newsstands right now. If you need radio equipment to monitor the action in the Balkans, be sure to check out the Grove Enterprises online catalog for the latest gear or call Grove at 800-438-8155.

Radio B92 website
On April 2, a government-appointed director took control of the independent Belgrade radio station B92, effectively placing it and all its assets in the hands of the Serbian authorities. The b92.net and opennet.org site have since been frozen and will not be updated by the original B92 team, all of whom have refused to work for this new government-controlled management. All news about the original B92 and the support campaign for that B92 team can now be found on www.freeb92.net, a site that is updated from Amsterdam and Belgrade. Thank you.
