For anyone interested in updating their National Forest Freq
Databases--
The Shoshone National Forest (bordering the east side of Yellowstone Park)
has recently changed frequencies on their radio network.
The 5 main repeater sites for Shoshone Forest now all transmit on 170.500. (This
is also their simplex).
Uplink to all these sites is 166.5625 (with various CTCSS tones to access them)
Site names are as follows: Dead Indian, Clay Butte, Carter Mountain, Clayton
Mountain, and Wood Ridge.
The Extreme southern end of Shoshone Forest is covered by a 6th repeater located
on Copper Mountain. It transmits on 172.375 (uplink 168.75)
These are fairly active right now with all the fire activity around the east
entrance of Yellowstone Park.
