Quality Control Recall for E1XM Serial Range 3,067 – 5,462

As you know, the E1XM launched this Fall and garnered substantial interest from consumers and the press alike. By performance and aesthetic measures, the product has been well reviewed, helping to further create recognition for the Etón line.

However, in an effort to maintain the highest standards that Etón stands for, Etón is recalling E1XM units due to quality control. The affected units are found in serial range 3,067 – 5,462. The issue that Etón has discovered is a missing trace on the circuit board. In the event that a customer has the unit plugged into an electrical outlet, using the AC adapter for power, and has a set of batteries in the unit, it could cause battery heat-up, leakage and possibly rupture. This may cause fire and/or personal injury.

Rest assured, we have worked diligently to address the issue, and henceforth, all shipments meet Etón’s rigorous standards.

If the unit you have purchased is within this serial range, please contact Etón technical support immediately to have a call-tag issued for the product so that it may be replaced. You shall incur no freight costs, and a fully tested unit shall be sent to you for replacement. As a token of our appreciation, Etón will be offering a complimentary FR200 Emergency Radio for your inconvenience.
